Notice how the Star Fox fleet has matching boots? Those are actually prosthetics fixed to them after having their legs cut off. This snuff theory was first explained as a measure for zero-gravity resistance, but Nintendo was quick to refute the claim. The Star Fox crew, in fact, cut their legs off for optimal running speeds… cause that’s so much better.
